The default target of 2.5% is a reasonable ceiling for a well-run small store, not a promise. Your realistic number depends on what you sell, how expensive it is, and whether people buy it repeatedly. Consumables and low-priced goods convert higher. Considered purchases convert lower and take multiple visits.
What this does not tell you. It shows the size of the prize, not whether you can win it or what it would take. Two stores with an identical gap can need completely different work: one has a broken mobile checkout, the other is buying the wrong traffic. That diagnosis is what the free consultation is for.
