How I Found You
If you got an email from me you did not ask for, this page is the answer.
It is a fair question and most people who send cold email will not answer it. Here is the whole process.
Finding the business
I look for businesses in a specific trade in a specific part of the country, using public sources: search engines, public business directories, chambers of commerce, state business registries, and state professional licensing lookups. Nothing behind a login, nothing bought.
Getting the email address
The address I wrote to was published by your own business, on your website, your directory listing, or an official record. I record the exact page it appeared on and the date I saw it, and I keep that record.
What I do not do
- I do not buy contact lists.
- I do not use data brokers.
- I do not use data from breaches.
- I do not guess addresses by trying combinations of your name and your domain.
- I do not take personal contact details from residential records, property records, voter files, or motor vehicle records.
- I do not create accounts on sites to get past their restrictions, and I do not bypass anything designed to keep automated visitors out.
Why you got a whole website and not just a pitch
Because a pitch is easy to send and easy to ignore, and building the thing first is neither. I look at what a business already has online, and when I think I can do meaningfully better, I build it before I make contact. You are under no obligation of any kind. It cost you nothing to have ignored it.
The concept was built independently, from publicly available information. Your business did not commission it, review it, or approve it, and I am not affiliated with you. It is not published anywhere and it is not your website. If you do not want it, I delete it.
How to make it stop
Reply and say so. Any wording. Or use the unsubscribe page. It is permanent and it takes effect the same day, across email and phone, for you and for anyone else at your company.
Who I am. ROILadder, the company named in the footer of this page. If you would rather talk to a person, call 678-MORE-BIZ (678-667-3249).
Here Is What I Do
If the draft site I sent was any good, the rest of this is the same work applied to the parts of a business you cannot see from the outside: what happens to visitors after they land, where the ad money goes, and what you are overpaying for.
Or just ask, with no obligation
A free 45-minute call, nothing to prepare. If the answer is that you do not need me, I will say so.
