Privacy
Effective September 12, 2026. Written in plain English on purpose.
ROILadder is one person. There is no marketing department, no data warehouse, and no customer data platform. What follows is the whole picture.
If you contacted me
When you fill in the consultation form, ask for the fillable checklist, use the calculator, or email me, I receive what you typed: typically your name, email address, company, website, and a description of your problem. The calculator runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing to me unless you choose to email your numbers.
I use it to reply to you and to do the work you asked about. Nothing else. I do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or share it with anyone. I do not add you to a mailing list. There is no newsletter to be added to. If you would like it deleted, ask and it is deleted.
If I contacted you first
Some of my outreach is unsolicited. If a message from me arrived without you asking for it, here is exactly what sits behind it.
- I found your business through public sources: your own website, a public business directory, a state business registry, or a state professional licensing lookup.
- The email address I used was published by your business, and I recorded the page it appeared on and the date I saw it.
- I hold your business name, your business contact details, publicly stated facts about what your business does, and notes about the concept I built for you.
- I do not buy contact information, use data brokers, use breached data, guess addresses from name patterns, or take personal contact details from residential records.
There is more detail, including what I will not do, on the how I found you page.
Stopping it
Reply to any message and say so. Any wording works. "Stop," "no thanks," "remove me," and "not interested" all count equally, and none of them needs to be polite.
You can also use the unsubscribe page.
Removal is permanent and immediate. I keep a suppression list forever, which is the only way to be certain you are never contacted again by accident. That list holds the minimum needed to recognize you: the address, the domain, and the business name.
Tracking
I do not track whether you open my emails. No tracking pixels, no read receipts, no third-party tags. If a link in an email routes through roiladder.com, the only things recorded are that the link was clicked and when. Not your IP address, not your location, not your device.
This website uses two analytics tools, and both set cookies.
Google Analytics 4 counts visits and shows which pages get read. It reports aggregate statistics to me, not individual identities. Google publishes a browser opt-out.
Microsoft Clarity records sessions and builds heatmaps. That means it captures how visitors move through a page: mouse movement, clicks, taps, scrolling, and the page content on screen, and it can play that back to me as a recording of the visit. I use it to see where a page confuses people and fix it. Clarity masks what you type into form fields by default, so the recording shows that a field was filled in, not what it said. It does not record your name unless it is visible on the page, and it does not identify you to me. The data goes to Microsoft and is handled under the Microsoft privacy statement. There is no one-click opt-out for Clarity; blocking third-party scripts with a content blocker, or blocking the domain clarity.ms, stops it.
There are no advertising trackers and no retargeting pixels on this site.
Where it lives, and for how long
Business records are kept for five years. That is longer than I would otherwise choose and it is deliberate: if anyone ever questions how I obtained a contact detail or what a message actually said, I want to be able to show them rather than tell them.
If you ask to be deleted, I remove your details and keep only the suppression record, so that the deletion is not silently undone by a future search.
Who else sees it
The service providers needed to run a small business: an email host, a website host, a form handler, the two analytics providers named above (Google and Microsoft), and a payment processor if you buy something. They process it on my behalf and for no other purpose. Card payments go through Stripe, whose systems handle card details directly, so I never see or store a card number.
Your choices
Ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email gus@roiladder.com. No form, no verification ritual, no waiting period beyond how long it takes me to read the message.
Changes
If this changes, the effective date at the top changes with it.
