ROILadder is one person. There is no marketing department, no data warehouse, and no customer data platform. What follows is the whole picture.

If you contacted me

When you fill in the consultation form, ask for the checklist, use the calculator, email me, or use the unsubscribe page, I receive what you typed: typically your name, email address, phone number if you choose to give one, company, website, and a description of your problem. The unsubscribe page takes an email address and an optional note, nothing else. The calculator runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing to me unless you ask for the result by email, in which case the figures you entered and the estimate they produce come with it.

I use it to reply to you and to do the work you asked about. Nothing else. I do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or share it with anyone. I do not add you to a mailing list. There is no newsletter to be added to. If you would like it deleted, ask and it is deleted.

If I contacted you first

Some of my outreach is unsolicited. If a message from me arrived without you asking for it, here is exactly what sits behind it.

• I found your business through public sources: your own website, OpenStreetMap, a public business directory, a state business registry, or a state professional licensing lookup.
• The email address I used was published by your business, and I recorded the page it appeared on and the date I saw it.
• I hold your business name, your business contact details, publicly stated facts about what your business does, and notes about the concept I built for you.
• I do not buy contact information, use data brokers, use breached data, guess addresses from name patterns, or take personal contact details from residential records.

Stopping it

Reply to any message and say so. Any wording works. "Stop," "no thanks," "remove me," and "not interested" all count equally, and none of them needs to be polite.

You can also use the unsubscribe page.

Removal is permanent. Removal requests are handled by hand, usually the same day and always within three business days. I keep a suppression list forever, which is the only way to be certain you are never contacted again by accident. That list holds the minimum needed to recognize you: the address, the domain, the business name, a phone number if you gave or published one, and, where there is one, a record of the request itself.

Tracking

I do not track whether you open my emails. Outreach emails contain no tracking pixels and no read receipts, and every link goes straight to its destination with no redirect in between. The links to this site and to the concept video do carry a short tag at the end of the address (UTM parameters). The tag says which of my emails the link came from and carries a reference number I assign to your business, never your name or email address, so I can see whether a link in a particular email was clicked. On this site the tag is read by Google Analytics, as described below. On the concept video page it is recorded with the video events: its link is unique to your business, so I can tell when the video was opened, which email the link came from, and how much of it played.

If I sent you a link to a concept video, the link carries a random key made for that one email, and the page opens only with it. When you open it, the page sets one cookie in your browser holding that key, so the video can play and the address bar shows a plain address. The link stops working 90 days after I sent it. The page does not ask for your email address or any login. Cloudflare hosts the page and processes each request to serve it.

This website uses one analytics tool. Google Analytics 4 runs on the site unless your browser sends one of the signals described in the next section. It counts visits and shows which pages get read. It sets cookies, and like any analytics tag it sends Google standard information about the visit: your device and browser type and an approximate location that Google derives from your connection. I see aggregate statistics, not individual identities. Google publishes a browser opt-out, and blocking third-party scripts in your browser also works.

There is no session recording and no heatmap tool on this site. Nothing replays what you clicked, typed, or scrolled. I used Microsoft Clarity for that briefly in September 2026 and switched it off on September 12; if I ever switch it back on, this section will name it and say what it records before it goes live.

There are no advertising trackers and no retargeting pixels on this site. I do not sell anything collected through the site, the emails or the video page, and I do not share it beyond the providers named on this page.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, analytics does not load on roiladder.com. Google Analytics never starts for that visit, so nothing about it goes to Google. The rest of the site works exactly the same. There are no other trackers on the site for either signal to switch off.

Where it lives, and for how long

Business records are kept for five years. That is longer than I would otherwise choose and it is deliberate: if anyone ever questions how I obtained a contact detail or what a message actually said, I want to be able to show them rather than tell them.

If you ask to be deleted, I remove your details and keep only the suppression record, so that the deletion is not silently undone by a future search.

Who else sees it

The service providers needed to run a small business: an email host, a website host, a form handler, the host of the concept video pages (Cloudflare), and the analytics provider named above (Google). Every form on this site is handled by FormSubmit, which receives what you submit and forwards it to me by email. They process it on my behalf and for no other purpose. This site does not currently take card payments. If that changes, they will go through Stripe, whose systems handle card details directly, so I would never see or store a card number.

Your choices

Ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email gus@roiladder.com. No form, no verification ritual, no waiting period beyond how long it takes me to read the message.

Changes

If this changes, the effective date at the top changes with it.
